Demo 1 Update Changes




After getting feedback and some reflection the previous playable version of this game is called "Beta" but looking back at it it was far from finished, I will now go into what has changed from the previous version
UI
This one is probably the biggest addition to the demo, the UI is more of an experiment than something that was intentional, ironically it turned out better than I expected and it made accessing individual levels much more easier.
MORE LEVELS
With the previous version I had a complaint where there weren't enough levels to get a grip on some mechanics, so I added more. I also realized that with the type of game this is there should be a lot more so I tried my best to make as many levels while still challenging the players in different ways.
NEW PARTICLE SYSTEM
Previously every particle created is tied to a new instance of a particle object specifically for that particle system. Now every particle is handled with 1 object. (Yes, the game is small enough to have object tied particles and not tank performance but it feels much safer for me (I'm scared of a memory leak :))))))
SMALL / SYSTEMATIC CHANGES
Here is a list of small changes that don't fall into a certain category
- The timer has been removed
- Overall player speed has been slightly reduced
- Player movement is slowed down on the ground
- Player slash is bigger
- Green Orb gives more knockback
- Togglable blocks now require all switches in a room to be activated (if more than 1)
- Levels now have names and are displayed when paused
